That Dilla & Rae Joint

Sorry for the delay but Replay Value will be here and on limited edition CD Dec. 1st, 2009. Reason for the delays is inspiration. The rap game as a whole isn't where it should be and the music hasn't been pushing me to write anymore. But as promised, the CD will be here Dec. 1st so stay tuned because there's more heat where this came from.

2Pac's Legacy - 13 Years After

Photobucket

June 16th, 1971 - September 13th 1996

Yep, it's about that time again...13 years it's been since hip - hop's lost an icon in the game due to violence, and what others believe to be a conspiracy. Tupac Shakur was murdered during a time period where media help stir up controversy between the east coast and west coast.

I know I found out about his passing when I was in art class. I'm faint of how the dialogue was, but I know it was like "hey you know biggie killed 2pac right?" "what? that's crazy!" we were young we didn't know better.

But as the years gone by, and I started getting older, I began to realize how much of an Impact Pac and others had on the game. And the influence he has on the music we make. So this Sunday bump some Pac, I know I'll be listening to Pain and hold Ya head!!!

Casso's Corner: Labor Day Weekend - What's the Worst Job you've EVER HAD?!

What was the WORST job you've Ever HAD?....if you still have it....I have no sympathy for you! lol....ok heres mine. Worst job i ever had...was working @ a chicken place....I ain't gon say the name, but it favors a similar spinach eating sailor!.....I remember when it was Me, Riggz, and Brieux working @ this job all @ once.....I'm in the back seasoning the chicken, it's Brick in the back room...no windows, just a slippery floor, 70 pound cases of raw chicken, season spinner thing...(i don't know what to call those damn things) and packets of seasoning. After i finish seasoning the chicken i have to put it in the Freezer so it can stay fresh. Countless times i went home exhausted looking and smelling like i took a bath in chicken blood. I had to get out of there!

What's your Best Job? i'd have to say when i was working @ an amusement park. I was 16, enjoying the people, what walked by...and free rides and food all DAY! all good things come to an end though. What's your Best and Worst?

Casso's Corner: Inf!'s Top 5 Dead Or Alive

Ok here it goes.

1 - 2PAC

2 - Jay - Z

3 - Notorious B.I.G

4 - Eminem

5 - LL Cool J

The WHY's?

#5.) LL - when i heard mama said knock you out...i could of sworn i was LL....I know i was dumb young...but hey...now when i think about it.... If he didn't come in with such a amped voice and a crazy flow....i don't think i'd be rapping how i do today.

#4.) Eminem - He came in the game with a sick sadistic style, lyrical ability.....and a different personality....his first three albums in my eyes are a classic.....i liked some tracks off of encore but that rain man triumpant dog sh.. got to me. On another note, he delivers something new every time and I have to put him as my 4th.

#3.) B.I.G - he's number three because he had a voice that NO one else had. He tells a story like you're sitting right next to him. My fav track he ever did would have to be What's Beef? I admit my first rap name was Lil' Biggie! DON'T JUDGE ME

#2.) JAY - Z - "i had to hustle, my back to the wall ashy knuckles/ pockets fill with a lot of lent....not a cent/ gotta vent, lot of innocent lives lost on the project bench/ what you hollerin? gotta pay rent bring dollars in/" < Em was on that track and he did his thing believe me....but that right there is one of the reasons i like hov @ my number 2....his delivery and what he talks about....he matures every album.

#1.) 2Pac - his stage prescence was moved or get moved over, He had more songs that i felt. My favorite song is "so much pain - feat stretch" I heard that track the first time when my brother bought the above the rim tape....back then i was young so i didn't know what he was meaning....but as i got older, that song meant a lot more to me as i grew older. so did the rest of his music.

If i had enough time i'd get more in depth....but a N!gga gotta work.
